I have been working for some time on an idea for a concept album. The story is finally finishing itself, and I have begun to record some tracks to go along with the story, and so I decided to give the project a name. Clockwork Transition (named for the fact that the story is very grounded in steampunk) is my new project, and you can hear it at either http://www.myspace.com/clockworktransition or on my UG profile.
I haven't had a chance to record anything with my UX2 yet, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I posted a cover of Ten Thousand Strong by Iced Earth. Let me know what you think.
Hello all. I decided to do something a little different this time and record a cover of a Rush song. I've been doing nothing but Nightwish covers for the past few weeks, so I figured I'd try something a little different. Although I love Rush, I've never actually tried to play any of their stuff. I had a little trouble with the solo, but I think it turned out okay. I know my tone isn't anywhere near the original, but I tried to get as close as I could. Let me know what you think.
I know it doesn't mean much, but today my song play count finally hit 100. I've been on this site early 2006, and it was until just this month that I began to post some of my covers online. After just a few short weeks, I hit my hundredth play count.
As I said, it's not much, but I'm glad to finally be on my way to having a nice collection of songs uploaded to this site. Hopefully by the next time I post a milestone it will be for my 1000th play count.
I finally got around to posting my cover of Ghost Love Score by Nightwish. It was supposed to be finished last weekend but I had a few technical difficulties. Either way, it's up now. Listen to it and tell me what you think.
Also, I just want to note that in one or two places you may hear a bit of static or some other sound. For some reason, the drum track decided it wanted to clip early or something once the recording was converted to an MP3. Stupid MP3's
Well, technically it's an old song. My online band did a cover of Aces High a while back. I ended up taking it offline because I didn't like the quality. However, I've fixed it up a bit and reposted it. Tell me what you think.
Also, I should have a few more Nightwish covers up this weekend. More on that later.
I finally took the time to spruce up my profile a bit. I added a simple background and a picture of Emppu Vuorinen from Nightwish at the bottom left. The space looked a little blank so I figured I'd put something there. Let me know what you think.
Also, if anyone wants to know how to change the background or add a picture to that area, just ask.
I just posted a cover of Nightwish's Beauty and the Beast. It's a fairly simple song, but one I've wanted to learn for a while. My band will probably be doing some Nightwish covers so I've been trying to learn as many as I can. Leave a comment and tell me what you think.
