Real Rap!

Current mood: shocked

I never liked rap because every single Rap song was about the same thing, just with sligtly different beats, but I listened to some Jedi Mind Tricks, (though the name is weird) their song Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story was the first Rap song to Rap about anything REAL! Snoop Dog and Eminem, and all these other guys, thier music is all the same except the time and place where they got rich, are rich, got a blow job or fucked some hot chick, or capped someone in the ghetto, but Jedi Mind Tricks really got to me. It's real! I never knew that there was a Rapper that talked about REAL shit! WOW! y=vietnam%20story That is the link to listen to this song! You'll find it is EXTREMELY REAL!

My Guitar Story.

I recorded me doing a few riffs on YouTube over a year ago, and I was listening to them and boy did I suck! As to where now, well, maybe I still suck compared to people who have been playing since forever like Eddie Van Halen, or KR46, but in the past year I have heard myself get better and better. Just think, I've been playing guitar since September of 2008, but the first time I picked up the guitar (a few months before) I couldn't even play the beginning riff to Iron Man! LOL! I fu(k!n sucked! Then I got my first guitar, Maestro Mini-V, and I learned Iron Man in the first few days, along with Smoke On The Water. But I had rented a book from the library on how to play guitar, and taught myself from there, how to read tabs, and a few basic chords. Then I learned some otherssongs likethe intro to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and the intro to Sunchine Of Your Life. I had probation and couldn't use the computer for 5 months, still owe my parents $1,000, but I had gotten a tab book in the mean time, and my brother printed off Crazy Train. I learnd the first little bit of that, and I still play that same bit, but I have heard myself play it, and it sounds a hell of a lot better than 1 year ago. My speed is faster, the rhythm is more accurate, and I'm a lot better than before. And my cousin came over a few times with his acoustic, and we jammed, he showed me a couple songs, a few of his and a few from various artist's. He says he's been playing for about 2 years, and I think that me and him are at the same level of guitar skill. He is better at some thngs and I'm better at some things. But the difference is, I go and learn new skills like speed picking, sweep picking (barely,) pinch harmonics and so on. As he just knows the basics of the guitar, because he hasn't tried learning any new techniques, just new songs. I did teach him pinch harmonics and speed picking however. It shows how someone who practices can easily become better than some one who just plays the stuff over and over again. But he's cool though, and is a better vocalist than I am.

Chaos Against Rock A Few Years Ago.

O.K. a few years ago, here in my tiny ass town of Port Sanilac, they were playing Aerosmith-like Rock down at a beer tent. And this town is filled with mostly old people who like Country. It's fine to like music that I usually don't listen to, people have differences in what kind of music they like, I don't force my favorite genre of music on people, I don't make people listen to Hair Metal or Thrash Metal. But anyways, they were playing rock and roll at a BEER tent, and some old bitches called in complaining that the Rock was bringing in certain types of people that were ruining the "Family Orientation" of the beer tent. Family orientation? What, are little 3 year olds running around with liquor in their bottles? But anyways, these old bitches won and the cops went out there and told the next band that they weren't playing, and the drummer wasn't notified. So he was up there just doing some warm-ups and everything and the cop TACKLED the drummer. WTF? And a few days later the cop went out of his way, out of his jurdistiction to threaten the drummer, saying charges will be put on him if hetestifies against him... corrupt bastard. Cops around here are corrupt, but that's a story for another day. Anyways, me and my brother made posters saying Rock N' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, and a huge drawing of a Middle Finger, along with some others that I don't remember. But they were all taken down three days later.

This story is the main reason that I want to leave this God Foresaken place and never return to a small town, until I get old and appreciate the quiet more. But that won't be for a while. Love living close to the beach here though.

Rip: Dio

Rip: Dio. You will be missed. You were the hero of my hero, you had some very good music, and will live on forever through the power of music. Congrats on popularizing the Devil Horns and making them the symbol of Metal.
