xwearesinking wrote on Nov 24th, 2008 1:39amnaw, i didn't end up getting it. i would have bought for $900, but the dick sold it to someone else while i was waiting for my last paycheck to come in. i ended up gettin a Sunn Sonic I-40 on ebay which has suited me fairly well. i'll probably be looking at getting another head or two after i get my recorded gear sorted out, probably something with a little bit of gain to it like a Sovtek MIG if the prices don't go up on them.
i actually don't use my violin bow a whole lot, but they usually aren't too bad in terms of how quickly they fray. i just bought the cheapest one i could find. but i'd actually recommend a cello bow because they're much easier to play with/learn on because they're bigger. make sure to also cover your pickups in any sort of plastic wrap cause rosin falls in there quite often. you'll also find that you need to play with your guitar reeeaally low and tilted up quite a bit. quote |
