Arby77 wrote on May 25th, 2011 1:41amHey thanks for the feedback. Yes we have a facebook and a site, www.48hoursstrong.com and heres the facebook.. http://www.facebook.com/pages/48-Hours-Strong/4471 2183381?ref=ts . Well actually we recorded all of the songs with our own equipment. The songs (nothing personal, crash, and spy) were all sent in to be professionally mixed so we recorded them but professionally mixed, all the others are recorded and mixed by us using various techniques. Appreciate the feedback! quote |

I posted a suggestion on your Queen's of the Stone Age 'Avon' tab but got the formatting wrong the first time, i've corrected it now in a new post but the old one is still there. I'm not sure if you are able to, but if you can could you please remove the first wrong one?
Thanks |

Thanks for the suggestion though |
Good luck with the sale :-)

I plan to buy an RR model in the future, eventually I will own an RR1 fixed bridge, but I think I will get the RR3/5/24 at the end of this year because they don't cost quite so much |
Thanks man! I'd love to add a fixed bridge RR as well, all of mine have Floyds and I kinda wouldn't mind something different. RR3's are cool I actually sold mine a while back, I'm a neckthru snob now it seems. I've wanted an RR5 for a while too, and RR24's kick ass, I love mine.

Really? I've not tried one, but everyone I know who's had them have told me they're not a metal amp at all, and that they can be boosted into that much gain, but in the end it's more of a hard rock amp at best.

I would like to get modern metal tones (Killswitch) but I wasn't sure whether It would actually be able to do it. What OD did you use in you clip? and can it get much heavier with active EMG's? what would I need to do?
Thanks! |
I used a Maxon OD-808 for the boost. IMO, it has enough gain for metal, but the voicing isn't right. It is a more classic amp, it isn't going to give you the saturation or lowend that you'd get out of a modern metal amp.
I dug the tone for metal, but it's not going to sound anywhere like KSE. I personally would look into something different just to be safe.
