I managed to snag a black 2002 Fender MIM Jazz Bass recently on ebay for a sweet price of only $250 - It's quickly become my new favorite (after some modification of course, with much more to come).
I don't know who decided to do this, but the previous dipshit owner decided to put on a Leo Quan original Badass bridge on it - the thing's supposed to go on an American Fender bass, not a MIM bass. Plus it made the action so high they should have put lights on it so low-flying aircraft could avoid it.
I removed it and put on a Gotoh J-bass bridge. Also, I managed to get a mirror chrome pickguard and slapped it on there (it was a bitch and a half too - the damn thing wasn't cut quite right, had to sand it down).
After re-setting the action and intonation, she's been good to me.
Pictures shall be posted shortly under my gear section.
