I'm picky about my readings, but here's some of my favorites -
Dune, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Guns of the South, All Quiet on the Western Front.
I've even been known to read Shakespeare and other classic works of English literature.
Favorite tv :
Mystery Science Theater 3000, Family Guy, The Office, Star Trek (yes, yes, I am a Trekkie), CSI, Law & Order, The Colbert Report / John Stewart Show. I'm a stickler for the History channel despite after about 10pm it becomes the "World War II jerkoff festival featuring Hitler's henchmen" (even though I do like WWII documentaries).
Favorite movies :
Fight Club, V For Vendetta, Sin City, Vanilla Sky, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Casablanca, Airplane!, The Naked Gun trilogy...I'm just going to stop here because the list is too damn long.
With the exception of Fight Club and The Dark Knight, I absolutely abhor any movie that has been made into pseudo-countercultur e merchandise by Hot Topic. In fact, that entire franchise should be torched.
Music for me has always been a hobby of sorts, but lately I've been taking much more seriously than I have in the past. I tend to focus more on trying to write my own material than learning other people's work. I play bass in a band right now, but I'm not sure where it will go as I don't have too much faith in my bandmates. I'm not saying that I'm better or anything, but it seems they focus far too much on image than the sound. We'll see what happens.
