aaronni wrote on Sep 5th, 2009 7:08pmYes they do as do the Eric Johnson strats. Unfortunately I can't quite stretch to that much lol. Sounds like a plan! The classic and classic player series are all great guitars, modded to your preferences they'd be amazing. I don't have any sorry, I haven't even got them installed on my guitar yet. I really don't want to mess up and damage them, the're about £120 a set so... Getting a local guy to install them for me, save myself worrying about it. There's clips on the rockmonkey site. Talk to Corduroy_EW about them, really helpful and willing to customise them for you. quote |
aaronni wrote on Sep 5th, 2009 12:53amAh that explains it, yea I'm switching away from aged too. I love the sound but got offered a great deal on the pickups so can't complain. Gonna get a bit more output in the bridge myself. I usually use the middle/bridge position with the tone down a bit, sounds a lot better to my ears.
I adore the soft V, I don't think I could play a strat without one now. I was looking at used American strats but I really wanted the soft V, I had a classic series strat before but didn't like a couple of things on it, had to keep the soft V afterwards though. Oh and wanted gold for a change from sunburst. I blame this man

Yeah man he was brilliant! He didn't play Still Got The Blues though, but it's not my fav anyways. He did some exellent soloage though, but he used a Tele for most of it, not a Les Paul! Amazing tone out of it though
I'm off to see him on his next tour, just cause I have to :P |
He used an LP for the show I went to mostly, used a Strat though as well, super nice tone. I've gotta see him again next year. Might see you there haha
