Well, been back for a week, and whilst my guts are giving me a mass protest from a week's (entirely predictable) excesses, I'm settled in nicely. Now to make sure I don't spend up on the loan before November like I did a year ago... Well, whoops, I always sucked at budget balancing anyway... Kinda not helped by my frequent hopping to insanity-ville (usually with my good friend Jack, but that's another story) The room's a bit smaller than i remembered from before, and thanks to some inept space-management, there's not room to move here - the chair's now redundant, so at least the bed's getting some use, but as always, I digress - it does somewhat piss on my idea of owning an epi so-cal and 2x12 cab by the end of the year if I've nowhere to put the bastard:... Also, 400's a fair whack when I'm not exactly expecting to be rolling in the moneys, but still, we'll see how things go...
Well, that's my summer holidays over - In 2 days time, moving back to Stoke to start my 2nd year there. Am I sad to see the old small town go? HAH! Am I fuck! I've been wanting to get out of here since my 20th birthday (in may), which I spent fetching a newly senile grand-parent from various parts of town. haha While I wouldn't exactly call Stoke a town with a pulse, it's still alive, compared to the shite-hole I now refer to as Malcatraz (Original name's Malton, but my houses' new gates look like a fucking prison's, hence the swap). I'll Get me a proper rock roll band going down there, get a job, and just live a good life again - That'll do me some real good . (Oh - And a new amp. I'm starting to get fed up of the brightness my MG's giving me with the SG. But that's for work and my student loan to pay for. Either gonna get myself an Epi so-cal 50 and a 2x12 cab, or I'll find me a neat 30W 2x12 combo... haha So an epi blues custom+distort pedals, most likely : ). Looking forward to it big time... That'll teach me to be uselss in threads, eh? Well at least now I can manage my inbox without having to just click 'select all' and 'delete' about 3 times a day. Can't actually remember how long I've got left, but I presume about 20 days.
