That sounds like it would've been some really easy money! I don't like working on a my guitar with someone else, though. Even if all they're doing is handing me the strings from the packaging...I guess I would just rather work alone than with others. I get less angry that way if something doesn't go right...

That's a very good idea! Unfortunately, there aren't enough guitarists around here willing to pay some kid on the street to mess with their guitar. Except one of my dad's friends. I changed a string (It was going to be free labor) and he gave me $20. Not a bad profit, considering a whole set of strings costs around $6.

I wish I had a job working with guitars. At least for now. I would like to be a performer when I get older. I highly doubt the local music stores would hire a 16 y/o, no matter how much smarter than the current employees I am.

I'm using my ban as more of an opportunity to work on my guitar some more and get to know more people on UG by talking to them with comments rather than general forum chat. So far, it's working. My guitar playing has 1-up'd and so has my 'Community Pulse' widget.
