That gave me a chuckle. I was bored, on UG, and the lightning was close enough where I could hear the air sizzling, too bad I didn't catch a closer strike, probably would've made the mic clip.

I remember the night you guys had the storms. But you should use it in a recording, it'd be badass.

Hey I think I like this TS clone. Which TS is it a clone of exactly? The BSIAB is interesting, but I don't think it's for me. I'm gonna clist it.

Thanks for checking out the mp3! I like it alright myself, might need a touch more gain...and some surgical cuts in the post EQ but other than that I'm pretty happy.

Yes, this is a direct out recording. I ran my ENGl Blackmore preamp out into my interface, and used an impulse response to simulate a poweramp and cabinet. Saves the hassles of micing!

I put up a really quick test for a new impulse file I found. If you're bored let me know what you think! Its pretty raw, no post EQing at all.

No problem, thanks for adding me. Be sure to let us know in the WTLT when you get some new stuff uploaded.

I'm not huge into heavier genres like death metal and modern metal, but I do enjoy a good metal tone every once and a while (and your tone fucking rocks) and some metal drumming.

Thanks, and I'll let you guys know! Currently pretty busy with gigs but we have 3 new songs waiting to be recorded.

Thank you for checking out my mp3s! Those vocals are part of the genre, but I agree they aren't ideal. We have recently switched to a new singer, and remedied this matter. The new singer has a greater vocal range, so I'd say you would like him better.

I'm really glad you like our tone and production too. I'm not 100% happy with it, new songs should be even better:D

Hi, I've seen you recommend the cmat brownie pedal (brown sound in a box). I guessing you own or played one? How well would you say it did an early van halen tone? Could it go lighter than that? If you've ever played a crunchbox how would you say the two compare?

I'm basically looking to build the BSIAB2 from GGG, I love the MI audio crunch box's tone, but if this is close then I'll save myself 60 bucks and build it myself.

Yes I've played the Brownie, plus I've messed with the BSIAB2 circuit before. It does the early VH tone pretty good IMO, better than most of the pedals that are geared towards the Marshall tone. The Brownie could definitely get lighter tones as the gain range was more useable than a straightup BSIAB2. Very dynamic pedal, works very nicely with the guitar's volume knob as well. I never played a Crunch box though, sorry.

hey kevin, i have been looking at getting an attenuator for my valveking 112 to get nice tube saturation, but on a lot of posts your name pops up in relation to re-amping, and how good it sounds. If it's not too much hassle could you explain the process to me? As far as I can see, it seems to be the same at attenuation, where the signal from the amp is scaled down by an attenuator before bring sent to the speaker/cab. What am I missing? Thanks dude :)

No, I hardly get out since I'm pretty satisfied with my gear. I'll let you know if I see anything.
M'kay, thanks. I'm glad you're happy with your gear, you deserve it. Doesn't 311 live in St. Louis too? If he does, I might hit him up and see if he's seen anything.

Hey Kevin, have you noticed any stores around with an old Marshall JCM (or something similar would be fine) for a decent price? All these NGDs (especially Matrix's, lucky bastard) are giving me some serious new amp gas. thanks man

It's relatively unknown, I think that's the main problem.

Tru dat. Even on pro rigs, you usually see attenuation, if anything.
