I do enjoy her work even though the only one I've read completely was Atlas Shrugged. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time for leisure reading lately.

Well, Atlas Shrugged basically contains her entire philosophy, so I'd say you're safe. And neither have I, it's very disappointing.

Haha, Nietzsche (the UG user) and I did not get along very well...

So I take it you're a fan of Ayn Rand?

Yep. Though I'm sure Columbus is more interesting than where I live. :p

Hm....
What is a sound card? I just run a chord from my amp into the computer jack. It sucks.....

Didn't expect anyone to actually listen to my cover. Thank. Well, I don't know how to improve my tone. That was just random notes so I could hear myself. You have a really nice tone is your songs. What do you use?

Cool, I would've gotten an AC30 too, except for the $1000+ difference in price.

$1000? =O
Over here a new AC30CC1 is €1000 and an AC15CC1 is €570.. Second hand you can score an AC30 for about €650 and an AC15 for €450. Damn.

I saw one of your posts in the pedalboard thread, and then noticed the question about the AC15. I play one of the newer models (CC1) which has the top boost control. The controls for the boost definitely control how clean your amp sounds. I regularly use mine in a band setting, and have no problems getting mild crunch or nice cleans. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much! I guess I'm getting one then if I can't get my hands on an AC30 :)

I really like Tightrope (The whole New World Record really), and Mr. Blue Sky.

Great songs. Great album too. I just hope they do something again sometime...

You'll enjoy this story from the show I bet. During the first half, there was a guy somewhere in the balcony who was shining a laser pointer onto the guitarist's hand and top of his head, and he was getting super pissed off. So during intermission he came out and said, "Whoever it is that has the laser pointer, security is looking for you." I just thought that was hilarious.

Unfortunately, they didn't have one of their main singers with them, Jeff Lynne I think.

:haha: that sounds pretty awesome! As much of a douche the lazer guy probably was, he still sounds pretty awesome :D Though uncool about lack of Lynne...

So, any particular favourite ELO song(s)?!

I also agree that ELO rocks. They were the very first concert I saw when I was a kid.

Wow, you freaking lucky bitch :p:!! I'm pretty sure i'll never have the chance to see them, sadly, i guess i can always just hope though!!

I have heard that they're ridiculously heavy. Would you say heavier than your average Les Paul style? Also I've heard the neck has a huge radius, owing to Brian having giant-like hands. Sorry to pester you with questions, but I've always been curious. Appreciate you taking the time.

definitely heavier than a les paul and because of the shape of it its not comfortable to play sitting down which can be a pain. the neck on the burns isnt as wide as on brians original so its not a huge issue. its wide but manageable so long as you dont have midget hands. i dont mind the questions, keep them coming if you're still curious.

I see you have the Burns Brian May guitar. I've always wanted to try one, but any of the copies of the Red Special are so hard to find in the States that I've never had the chance. How does it play?

hey man,
ive had the red special for about three years and its great. its really versatile because of the pickup combinations and it has a great full tone. it takes some getting used to because its a big heavy lump of a thing. the burns model is discontinued nowadays but a pretty similar model is done by brian's own guitar company which here in the uk is about £500 which is a snip compared to some of the other copies available. saying that, after gigging pretty heavily with it, it is just about ready to fall apart - good old korean workmanship...

No it's fine- It's just really low so I have to turn the volume all the way up on the site and on the comp. Besides that it sounds beautiful. Good job :)

I like it. Mine's a Mexican strat, but I replaced most of the electronics, and had part of the whammy bar sawed down, so it plays pretty well now. That one bit I've posted so far is a short instrumental off of The Wall, and I'm guessing from your name that you're a pretty big Pink Floyd Fan. I tried putting down Comfortably Numb last night, but I kept flubbing bits; I'll probably try it again later.

Yeah mine are too! I have a strat and tele- I'd like and american tele, but honestly the MIM are great! Yeah definitely! I've been a fan since my a young age...not many people get the name is pink floyd
When you have it posted I'll check it out!
