These pics are 1) my epiphone Elitist Les Paul Plus with my Peavey BRAVO112 22w Tube Amp. The amp uses 12AX7 (7025) Preamp tubes and 2 EL84s in a push/pull configuration. 2) The hardshell case that comes standard with the elitist Les Pauls, and 3) The LP Plus put away after playing. This is how I recommend storing & protecting your guitar. I used to leave my Fender American Stratocaster (sold to my brother now) out on its stand all the time until I one day noticed a nice ding in the finish caused by some unreported accident at home! I've learned my lesson and now keep my guitars in their HS cases when I'm not playing them.

I find that keeping a guitar in a hardcase is safe, but it can be a hassle.

Personally I like stands and wall hangers, even if your guitars are slightly more at risk and exposed to UV light.

On a more topical note, that Epiphone has a great looking top, nicer than most Gibson tops
