I need advice!...

Ive been teaching myself how to play for just over a year and a half,
could anyone recommend any tips and tricks or just things i could practice that i could learn to improve my playing?

Learn all the notes on the fretboard... and lots of practice basically
the first steps anyway...

Take lessons dude learn scales and practice them to get faster most songs are based on scales I noticed that some of the dethklok solos are based on the blues scales!
