Neumann   (01:07)
A quick audio test using my Neumann TLM102 mic, Behringer B-1 (ambience) and my Taylor 314CE. Used my Tascam US-2000 recording interface and Cubase. The ambience channel has been processed a little. Cleaned up the track in Cool Edit Pro. Track was not mastered. { Tags : Neumann, TLM102, Behringer, Tascam, US2000, Taylor, 314CE }

Barely Breathing Intro   (00:32)
This is a cover I recorded of Duncan Sheik's Barely Breathing. Recorded using a Taylor 314CE plugged in to a Tascam US-2000. Some processing and clean-up was performed on the track. This is about 30 seconds of the intro to the song. { Tags : Barely, Breathing, Duncan, Sheik, Cover }

Is There Anybody Out There (Cover)   (01:21)
A cover of Pink Floyd's acoustic song from The Wall. This one is a classic. Recorded with a Taylor T5-C2 using one of the internal pickups and a Neumann TLM102. { Tags : Pink, Floyd, Taylor, Neumann }

Hotel California - Shure SM-58   (01:48)
Microphone test using four different mics. This particular mic is the Shure SM-58. This dynamic mic had much less output than the Behringer B-1 used in the first test. Is the result bad? You be the judge. Guitar used in this recording is the Taylor 314CE. { Tags : Microphone, test, Shure, Hotel, California, Taylor, 314CE, Guitar }

Hotel California - Neumann TLM102   (01:51)
Microphone test using four different mics. This particular test uses the Neumann TLM102, with a street price of about $700. This is a condenser mic. To my ear, this mic sound produces better clarity than the Behringer B-1, which was also tested. Guitar played is a Taylor 314CE. { Tags : Neumann, TLM102, Hotel, California, Taylor, 314CE, microphone, test }

Hotel California - Electro-Voice RE20   (01:51)
The fourth microphone in a test between various dynamic and condenser microphones. This test put the Electro-Voice RE20 in the hot seat. This is a dynamic microphone, which is frequently used for broadcast, voice-overs, kick drums, guitar cabs and some other uses. The RE20 requires a decent mic pre-amp, as it has fairly low output. In this particular test, I did record the mic slightly closer to the guitar, otherwise, it's still in the same position on the body. Guitar is a Taylor 314CE. { Tags : Electro, Voice, RE20, microphone, test, guitar, Taylor, 314CE, dynamic }
