Interests
Favorite bands :
Reel Big Fish was my first exposure to anything "punk-like". I like Bayside, Brand New, Alkaline Trio, Streetlight Manifesto, and EVERYTHING Scott Klopfenstein has ever done. Obviously loved Blink 182.
Favorite guitarists :
Jack O'Shea of Bayside is my favorite guitarist right now, the man can play lead lines, but still be in the mix. I also love Tom Sholtz, of Boston. He made all his own pedals, and they yielded some pretty cool sound.
Favorite bassists :
Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio, Tuesday), Brendan Kelly(The Lawrence Arms), and from a local band to the QC area, Nate Spainhower of The Easy Mark (He doesn't give himself the credit he probably deserves).
Favorite books :
Anything written by R.A. Salvatore; The King James Bible (Though I'm not a Christian, I just take it for what it is: A pretty good book); Sherlock Holmes (The Adventures of, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle); And I am but one of the countless (or perhaps they have been counted, I don't know or care) people who have enjoyed the Harry Potter series, albeit at a younger age.
Favorite tv :
I've enjoyed a simple Family Guy episode as much as any dramas, excepting a few Anime series, which I have recently gotten into (watch Beck/Mongolian Chop Squad).
Favorite movies :
The Emperor's Club; The Man Without a Face; Deja Vu (I don't care what people say, that shit made me happy); Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Just because).

About JumboJim
I recently got tired of playing in my basement. I'd like to get out a bit, play with some people, and definitely work on originals. I sing and play guitar, at both of which I consider myself adequate.

I'm self-taught, so my knowledge of theory is very slim, but I consider myself to have a decent ear.
