In 1947 the Gibson Super 400 was probably about the best archtop, jazz guitar you could buy. If you think they still make them like they used to, I can assure you that Gibson's current owners are full of moose poop when they spit all that garbage out about their commitment to quality. They are dedicated to maximizing profits, and nothing else. Bring me your $4500.00 Custom Shop LP when it's 60 years old... this thing will still be around, and it will still be in better shape.
