I'm Jamie and I do too little on here. I want to be more active, I really do.
I live in Scotland and go to Denny High School which is in Denny. I'm in my 6th and final year, doing only 3 subjects. One of which is music at Advanced Higher, completely bypassing Higher cause I'm THAT cool :P My other 2 loves, Maths and Computing are my other 2 subjects also at Advanced.
I want to go and study either Computing Science + Maths, or Artifical Intelligence at Edinburgh Uni or Heriot Watt. Here's hoping I get a placement
I lack theory knowledge, and I know I do. But I use my ears more than anything for writing bass parts and parts in general. My inventing pieces for music were done completely by ear and transcribing what I had in my head. My teachers say I have a better ear than I do theory knowledge, which is apparantly better.
Musically, bass is my first love. I only got a guitar to sit music at school, I'm pretty sucky but I'll get better... eventually... I would much rather be known for being a bass player, though the vain side of me would like to front a pop-punk or ska-punk band with guitar in tow.
On the subject of Ska, the band I'm in, Brown Chicken write cheesy ska type groove music. Described by some as "cheesegroove". We have fun, we enjoy it.
As a person, I like to think I'm pretty easy to get along with. I try to be open and understanding to people, although as I've gotten older I've become less tolerant of complete bullshit which I guess has it's advantages When I have a drink in me, I'm alot more talkative to everybody, I act like I do with my best friends but with people I don't know. I really like it I may seem confident, but inside sometimes I'm a right wimp. Especially when it comes to being lovey dovey xD It takes a lot for me to trust someone like that.
