Dear James.

You had two problems with your Tanglewood, which were the strap button and the lack of a pick-up. You might want to install a LR Baggs M1 (passive of active) pick-up to your guitar. You don't have to destroy your guitar to install it, and the Jack-in doubles as a new (solid) strap button.
