I am a sixteen year old Australian guitarist and keyboard player, though my main instrument is guitar. I love the melodic metal variations from scandinavia but my problem is that in Australia, bands such as Norther, Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica are not well known nor are musicians who play their style of music readily availiable (With the exception of COB).
Hence, I wish to travel overseas to find the right people for me to play with and be in a band. My material that I've composed sounds like Early Bodom + Norther + Stratovarius.
I also run my music on PRO-TOOLS using Guitar Rig 3, Addictive Drums, Reason 4 and some other symphonic program, though I cannot record any of my tracks without a low latency audio interface which I could/can use to play direct real tones to a PA system. Once I have this hardware live work should be easy covered. (I want buy a stack amp as well but im considering whether to buy a unit in Australia)
So here's my plan, in the next year or two I plan to take a 6 or more month trip to a scandinavian countries to hopefully found/join or anything to get in with a band of any sort.
I would consider myself as a very decent guitarist for my age (Turning 17 in a few months)
