Meh, my great great great grandfather from my mother's side came down with the construction of the Canal. My grandfather from my father's side was a lawyer for the US government. So, I'm not really army related.

Americans have a rich anti-Government past going back to the revolution and also have recurrent anti-Government ideals in many popular classical works of American political philosophy. I did propose to Kjell actually the other day on MSN that someone should do oral surveys, collate the common, ridiculously false statements and put them into a drama series or something.
