Yeah, nothing revolutionary but it's nice to have them all in one place.
Thats the idea :)

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for the links you've given in the past to the chords and scale diagrams (like the one in your signature)!

Hey NP, I hope your finding them useful.

Yeah, a backing track would be a great idea, I felt the improv could have done with a bit of direction :P

Ohh yeah. I probably wouldn't have messed up the timing, had I had a backing track with me. :)

I think we all do in the end.

How true. I'm thinking about putting an MP3 up with a backing track on it when my wrist heals.

Yeah, of course it's going to sound shit to you :P I know the jazz virtusou Alan Holdsworth hates anything he's ever played at least a few albums ago IIRC.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that thinks this way. :p

I really didn't think it was all that bad..

I did, but then again, I'm really hard on myself when it comes to sloppyness. :p

Hey, saw your post in MT Chat, so I had a listen to your improv. Yeah, it's a bit sloppy, but it's the blues

I know I just posted, but I have to clear something up...A "bit sloppy" is one of the biggest understatements I've ever heard. :D

Haha I knew it was sloppy as hell, but...ehh...People wanted to hear my playing. =P

Melody? In my Meshuggah? :P

Damn straight.

Btw, have you heard Acrid Placidity? Brilliant Holdsworth-esque playing from Thorendal.

That's great, what are you thinking about when you're doing that; was it thought out, or are you just "dialing the phone"?

The sections were thought out, but the individual licks were just patterns that fit my mental flow - it's about wobbly note textures, not melody. :)

Hi J.A.M!
The youtube piece you saw is not really my improvisation, but a fragment from Marty Friedman's video about improvisations.

As for the Marty's DVD, 99 licks, check it out on youtube.

By the way the licks are tabbed, just look for them under MF. And please rate them!!
Thanks.
