Firstly, I'd like to state that I'm Agnostic. And I'd also like to give a dictionary definition of Purpose :: 1) an aim or goal, 2) result or affect that is intended or desired, 3) determination; resolution, 4) main idea or meaning either to one's self or in literature.
People say that if You have no religion, You have no purpose, and if You dont believe in a higher being, You have no faith. Isnt that just an ignorant speculation?
Firstly, You can have faith without the need for a higher power. Faith in self. Second, if You're one of those people who believe You have to have a religion to have purpose, I think You're just close-minded. Doesnt that just depend on Your definition of purpose? If You believe that Your purpose in life is to live in the best way possible to get to an amazing, perfect afterlife, then go for it, more power to You. But dont shut out or condemn others who dont particularly believe that. Personally, my purpose in life is this::
I have air in my lungs, blood in my veins, and a few friends never too close for comfort. I've got what I need to get by and to live a happy life. I am my own purpose.
All I'm saying is, there is no religion that makes sense to everyone, and my belief makes perfect sense to me. Dont attack other people just because some one thinks differently than You do. Their belief makes just as much senses as Yours does to You and is most like just as fallable in some way. Just let it go...its all perspective.
