Today's lesson: How to say your county of Hertfordshire.
Let us begin with the word "alert." Say it out loud. Notice how you say it.
Now, apply that same principle of the sound "ert" you find in "alert"
to say "Hertfordshire." no no no, you said it wrong! If you wanted to say "HEART-fordshire" you did it all wrong! Bah, maybe the next lesson will be more promising.
