Went rock climbing with myself and 3 cute japanese girls. This is their first time rock climbing. I was looking forward to demonstrating rock climbing technique. However, women weigh less than I do. So, when they got on the wall, being light, it was quickly discovered that they were better rock climbers than me, and could climb more before getting tired.
I broke my high e on my acoustic today. I said fuck it and started playing some funk and jazz. Not having an E string turns out to be good for that. It also helps take away the tinny quality your average pos cheap practice acoustic gives off. Worth taking a look at when practicing your chords.
If you know me, you know I surf. I live out of my car on the beach every weekend and many weekdays. As such one of my guitars, an old cheap silvertone from 40 years ago, lives in my backseat. The part of japan that I live in is in line with the tropics so its freaking hot.
I found out today that heat makes nylon strings turn to paper and promptly broke all 3 of them at once. Watch out for it.
