1. Do you want to sell this Explorer? Please contact me at mollyhatchetband@aol.com

2. If not, do you know where I can find a Short Vibrola for my Explorer? Thanks for your help !!

1. Not for sale, sorry. If I hadn't pre-ordered mine, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten the one I have.

2. Allparts.com has a regular vibrola. You might be able to leave the long cover plate off.

* Also, I wanted to point out two things. First, though not a bad trem, the vibrola doesn't do anything extreme like a FR. You might be able to find one of a number of different trems that work with existing tailpiece posts. Otherwise you're going to have a couple holes in your top or some filling to do (which looks crappy, imho).
Secondly, The biggest difference between this and a stock explorer is not the vibrola, the ebony fretboard or the neck angle. It's the pickups. They put a 57 Classic and 57 Classic Plus in it. HUGE difference in the sound. More punchy bass, musical mids. Highs are attenuated a bit. Gain freaks might not like them, but I run them through a Marshall 100w head and play anything from classic rock to metal. They're not awesome for shredding but the tone is unbelievable.

So what is the most extreme a vibrola can get? Whats the most it can bend the string.Sorry if this doesnt make sence, I aint great with terminology.

Re: Your question on vibrolas, it'll divebomb if you're bound and determined. It might even do it twice before you snap the handle off. But by and large it is for small pitch bends. i.e.: It's kind of like what you do when you play bends except it drops the ptich instead of raising it (although you can pull up on it). It also does a really nice exaggerated vibrato. If you use it for anything drastic, it usually knocks your tuning out of whack. Ultimately It's a nice gimmick but it's not as useful as a floyd or as solid as a bigsby and I don't use it much.
