Your Skin Makes Me Cry

Current mood: listless

I have been in this room with this woman for a while now. I do not know how long it has been; my cell phone was gone, along with all my other stuff, when I first woke up in here. The room is completely white, with no discernible doors or openings. There must be an opening of some sort, because we'd suffocate otherwise. Maybe the people (if they are people) who put us in this room are pumping oxygen into it, but I don't know how they could.

I stare at the woman's breasts for approximately ten seconds. I'm certain she notices. She does not, however, give me a scolding look, nor does she say a word. I'm sure she'd stare at my ass if she had the chance. There hasn't been a chance, though, since we've both been sitting at the card table in the center of the room since I first woke up.

The drone of the fluorescent lights is especially noticeable in the silence. Neither of us has said a single word. She doesn't seem to care that there's someone across the table from her, that she has company. She seems perfectly content sitting by herself, thinking about whatever the fu
ck she thinks about. And she's been like this since I first woke up. I stare in the general direction of her eyes to try to get her attention. After approximately seventeen seconds, she looks up at me. We make eye contact for approximately 0.4039 seconds, but bear in mind that that's a rough estimate.

Time passes: perhaps several hours, perhaps less than one. I've come up with a brilliant scheme to get her, the relatively beautiful young woman sitting across the card table, to speak to me. I shall tap out, in Morse code, the opening lines of “Creep” by Radiohead. I have determined through deductive reasoning that she is a Radiohead fan, and Radiohead fans hate “Creep.” She'll say “You know, 'Creep' is, like, Radiohead's worst song,” and I'll succeed in my goal. The plan is absolutely foolproof.

I begin to execute the plan. Morse code takes time, if one is to follow the rules for spacing letters and words, which I have to for this plan to work. Around the end of the second line, during the word “in,” she asks me, “What the hell are you doing?” I tell her to be quiet, since I'm trying to concentrate.

Due to the unexpected failure of my (supposedly) foolproof scheme, I am discouraged from attempting to communicate with her for a while. I don't know when I will try to establish contact with her again. I will need to devise and even more cunning plan before I do. Clearly, this woman is playing mind games with me.

Just a quick thought.

Current mood: amused

I just noticed a rather funny thing. Seasonal affective disorder, which is the psychological disorder where people get depressed in the winter, is abbreviated as SAD.

Yeah, sorry my blogs aren't about anything particularly deep, guys. I'd need to write something out first, and I don't really feel like it.

Feel free to comment on here with more amusing abbreviations!

The Resistance. Holy freakin' crap.

Current mood: enthralled

I don't know why, but I didn't have huge expectations for The Resistance by Muse. Well, I just got it, and I'm completely and utterly floored. It's much better than Black Holes and Revelations. Much, much better. It sounds more like a follow-up to Absolution than it does a follow-up to Black Holes. I love the huge presence synths have on this album (I'm a huge synth fanboy). At the same time, though, it's also very guitar-oriented.

The album presents a very varied mix of songs, although Muse tend to do that. I'm on "Unnatural Selection" right now, and it's probably my favorite of what I've listened to.

I'll probably do a review in a day or two, after I've listened to it more.

I promise today's post won't be about teh animu.

Current mood: cranky

I'm a bit hung over, and I need to do the dishes, so I'mma make this quick.

Has anyone else noticed a weird pattern in the behavior of the older Pit Monkeys? By that, I mean 30 and up. They all have a certain way of posting that is kinda weird. It's like you can feel their age just from looking at their posts. Like Jackal58 and vikingx, and that one guy with his dog as his avatar. You can feel this same thing from Pit Monkeys in their mid-twenties who think they're the shit, too (not naming any names; they're not that e-famous, anyway). I don't know if I'm just crazy or something, but I can totally feel a weird vibe coming from older people's posts.

Please, someone agree with me. I'm not crazy, I promise.

The new Bleach chapter is out today, and it seems like the Fake Karakura Town arc may be finally coming to a close. I'm not going to spoil anything, but apparently Aizen is getting pretty damn restless.

Perhaps we'll see the story go back to Hueco Mundo, since it's been months since Kubo's even shown it. I sure hope so, since the fights in HM have been left hanging for quite a while.

But seriously, if you're caught up, go read dis shit right nao.

Since everyone else is doing it...

Current mood: apathetic

I figured I should at least make use of the blog feature on my profile, considering that I actually enjoy writing. I doubt it'll be regularly updated, but I don't really give a fuck.

Do I even need a blog? I think a lot, and maybe it would be kinda cool if I wrote it down on teh internets for everyone to see, but maybe my thoughts aren't worth sharing. Maybe I'm just a pseudointellectual douchebag.

Maybe I should stop putting myself down.
