halvies wrote on Jan 16th, 2009 12:19pmalso, to make it sound less like GP, i think all you need to is add some overdrive to both channel and some dekay to the outro. And maybe add some volume to wat would be russel's track, i might have mentioned this before, but his track doesn't have the presence it needs. Great playing though, just the sound needs a bit improvement quote |
halvies wrote on Jan 16th, 2009 12:09pmthats k, i definately am a Bloc fan. did u see them live when they came to aus in november of 08? i saw them at melbourne, they were amazing!
as for the tabs, i think there is a fairly accurate one on here, like the version 8 one when you serch for it. its just a normal tab, not GP. quote |

hey, i love the fl1
did you just use fruity loops instruments that it comes with?
or the sytrus ones?
or did you download vsti's?
cause you have great sounds on there. |
sorry for the really late response, i just noticed your question. i used some of the stock FL instruments like the piano, drums, and choir, but the strings and synth sounds are from external vst's.

seljer wrote on Sep 3rd, 2008 6:43pmhey, I posted in that synth thread too
let me know if you get things working in Reaper
Reaper also gives a a very rudimentary synthesizer and synth the start with quote |
musicmanstinger wrote on Sep 2nd, 2008 9:44pmHello. Sorry I didn't get back to you in the Synth thread. Well there are many synths that can do the things you described. Personally I would recommend something like a Roland Juno D, Korg X50 or The Novation X Station. Also you could buy a MIDI controller with a good soft Synth or Synth module, that would probably be your cheapest option and with god soft synth you can achieve pretty much all the sounds that you could with a convention hardware synth.
Sorry for the wall of text.

pucci6d6 wrote on Aug 17th, 2008 7:43pmHey thanks for the critique on my playing.
I really liked your song 'Fear of Falling'. Especially the riffs at :35 and at 3:02. I like your singing, keep it up. I would like to hear how the song sounds with lead, so when you get that up, PM me so I can give it a listen. Cheers. quote |
