I'm 23 and have been playing guitar for almost 5 years now (took lessons for about 2 to 2 and a half), and absolutely love it. I just wish I had started a lot earlier now that I realize just how fun it really is. I'm just getting my band back on the right track (finding a practice spot is a total bitch), and my drummer and I are really only limited by our budget at the moment.
Some personal info about me would be that i'm 6'2" tall, about 230 pounds, 100% white and of mostly Irish and German descent (more German than anything else), and I absolutely, thoroughly, and utterly HATE rap/hip hop/r&b or whatever it's called now. It wasn't until recently that I delved deep into the depths of the realm of Death Metal, and you could say I've been on a crack binge the last year or so with the crack being Death Metal. Hell, I love anything really, even country, bluegrass, and a little techno, but I will go out of my way to avoid hearing even a second of that steaming pile of shit called rap. The same goes for emo and screamo.
