THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is incredible live. They performed at Station 4 in St. Paul Monday of spring break and it was the single best experience ever! The place was throbbing during Hatesphere, the opener, and really low-key during Augury (not the greatest live), and totally flipped out for Obscura.
Then The Black Dahlia Murder took the stage and all sweat broke loose. While walking up the sidewalk adjacent the venue to find some food, we passed a short-haired bearded guy that looked suspiciously similar to the singer, Trevor. Because it was! I waved at him and he waved and smiled back. He knew exactly what was up cause I had my representin rags on.
At the end of their set that consisted of Statutory Ape, Miasma, Necropolis, Black Valor, Denounced Disgraced, Deathmask Divine, Everything Went Black, What a Horrible Night to have a Curse, and I Will Return, I reached up to tap his foot, then he reached down and grabbed my hand. First contact! Pretty awesome considering this is my favorite band.
One post every few years is enough. See y'all later.
