i tried both the standard v and this one, they sounded identical. they use the same pickups, it looks great, and sounds even better. ive had no problems with it other than at one point, the connection cut in and out from my amp, but that was solved by simply tightening the input jack and the knobs to the pickguard.

if youre thinking of getting it, go for it. its worth it.
