I first picked up the guitar a little after my divorce. I never had the time, nor the money when I was married. One might say I'm trying to recapture my youth with playing the guitar... Personally, it's just something that I've always wanted to try. I pretty much play for myself and really don't have any desire to gig or perform. Just something I want to do because it makes me happy. If it brings a smile to someone else's face as I continue to learn, then it's all bonus.
