Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for the links you've given in the past to the chords and scale diagrams (like the one in your signature)!

This is really cool man. I like the bagpipe sounding section at the beginning. Actually I like all of it, but that was particularly clever.

Hehe, thanx dude... Its taken a year to have the confidence to attempt the simulation, cos you never quite know how it would sit in a song. Glad you liked it man :D

Howzit dude, I put a new song up called marshland. Amidst those mode discussions in the forums I decided to experiment. A Ionian, A dorian and A mixolydian. I wanted to put a lesson somewhere of using various modes within a piece but I can't seem to find a way to phrase it or exactly where to put it. If you'd be so kind as to give it a listen and lemme know what you think, I'd appreciate it :)

Thanks, yeah it was a bummer, but luckily only my old acoustic, a couple of crappy cases, and some boxes got trashed. I saved everything else. Some cords got drenched, but they seem to work! Coulda been worse!
Glad you didn't lose much. You get weather like that often?

Well, it was very high wind gusts. Tornado like weather, but not a tornado. Basically just a really severe thunderstorm.

Hmmm... luckily i stay where i do, don't have to experience those weather anomolies. My empathy goes out to you man, having to clean up after mother nature throws her toys out her cot. I haven't practiced to the track yet. Yesterday I put those chord progressions into BIAB with a Weather Report style, needless to say I practiced to the wrong stylings and my practiced solo is now a piece of shit, lol. I woke my gf up while doing "Shameful", she not happy, so i couldn't put a widdly solo in cos my guitar sounds high when unplugged... so she hears plunk plunk plunk and well... it woke. But first thing in the morning I'll get on it.

"Shameful" has got such a high energy to it that I cannot get to sleep now... grrr

Well, the power was out for over 24 hrs, so I had no sub-pump to get rid of all the water. It just kept getting deeper!

It was a big deal though, So i understand. Like 100,000 people lost power. The whole area was trashed. Huge tree limbs down, debris all over the place.

That sounds horrible man.... When you say storm... is that like hurricane? Or just very wet with lots o flashy bits inbetween?

Yeah, man it's a real pain in the ass! I've been cleaning up since Friday, and there is still more to go. Still damp down there to. Damn you Mother Nature! (and the Electric company actually)!

electric company? blown geyser or something?

Sorry bout that! I've been distracted.. We had a huge storm last thursday. Lost power, and flooded my basement. (and I had a shitload of gear down there). I'm still cleaning up the mess! Oh well, at least none of the really important stuff (guitars/amps) got trashed.

I posted a link in this thread...
