Hehe, thanx dude... Its taken a year to have the confidence to attempt the simulation, cos you never quite know how it would sit in a song. Glad you liked it man

evolucian wrote on Jul 30th, 2009 8:38pmHowzit dude, I put a new song up called marshland. Amidst those mode discussions in the forums I decided to experiment. A Ionian, A dorian and A mixolydian. I wanted to put a lesson somewhere of using various modes within a piece but I can't seem to find a way to phrase it or exactly where to put it. If you'd be so kind as to give it a listen and lemme know what you think, I'd appreciate it quote |

I saved everything else. Some cords got drenched, but they seem to work! Coulda been worse! | Glad you didn't lose much. You get weather like that often?

evolucian wrote on Jul 2nd, 2009 1:31amGuitarMunky wrote on Jul 2nd, 2009 at 3:11am : Well, it was very high wind gusts. Tornado like weather, but not a tornado. Basically just a really severe thunderstorm. |
Hmmm... luckily i stay where i do, don't have to experience those weather anomolies. My empathy goes out to you man, having to clean up after mother nature throws her toys out her cot. I haven't practiced to the track yet. Yesterday I put those chord progressions into BIAB with a Weather Report style, needless to say I practiced to the wrong stylings and my practiced solo is now a piece of shit, lol. I woke my gf up while doing "Shameful", she not happy, so i couldn't put a widdly solo in cos my guitar sounds high when unplugged... so she hears plunk plunk plunk and well... it woke. But first thing in the morning I'll get on it.
"Shameful" has got such a high energy to it that I cannot get to sleep now... grrr

evolucian wrote on Jul 2nd, 2009 1:06amGuitarMunky wrote on Jul 1st, 2009 at 11:19pm : Well, the power was out for over 24 hrs, so I had no sub-pump to get rid of all the water. It just kept getting deeper!
It was a big deal though, So i understand. Like 100,000 people lost power. The whole area was trashed. Huge tree limbs down, debris all over the place. |
That sounds horrible man.... When you say storm... is that like hurricane? Or just very wet with lots o flashy bits inbetween?

electric company? blown geyser or something?

evolucian wrote on Jul 1st, 2009 8:20pmGuitarMunky wrote on Jul 1st, 2009 at 9:36pm : Sorry bout that! I've been distracted.. We had a huge storm last thursday. Lost power, and flooded my basement. (and I had a shitload of gear down there). I'm still cleaning up the mess! Oh well, at least none of the really important stuff (guitars/amps) got trashed.
