DT's gig was awesome,Helsinki was not. But guess who me and my friends saw there after the show? Teemy Mntysaari! I had to be sure,so I just went and asked:Are you Teemu Mntysaari? Had a brief chat about the show, took a picture and of course we had to ask when Time II comes out. Shook hands with him and naturally I had to tell him how great he is...
Brilliant! On se Teemu vaan mahtava...

Miksi kaikki saa tästä viestistä sellaisen käsityksen, että mulla olisi joku? : D Eihän se edes käy tuosta lauseesta ilmi! Eihän..?

Nonniin! Bueno.

Gathered my buddies yesterday and went to see Bodom in Oulu. BEST FREAKIN 100 minutes of my life so far!! (Also, its been brought to my attention, that you have a new guitar. Congratulations! )
Hieno homma.
Saa jopa soitettua puhtaalla.

Btw,have you listened to the new Bodom record? I think its actually pretty good.

Yes, I have. I think it's better than RRF but worse than I hoped it to be. One song simply ruins it for me and it's that non-sense blastbeat Halo of Blood song. Besides, I don't think that Transference melody shows exactly how much Alexi could give to his fans and CoB fans. And the vocals, oh god why. Alexi has taken ANOTHER turn for the worst. Where is the raw and pure sound that he had in Something Wild?
Or the more worked out singing from Hatebreeder - Hate Crew Deathroll era?
I think they're holding their musical talents in order to appeal to the masses, especially on Janne Wirman's keyboard work. It has gone weaker on every album pretty much from Follow The Reaper.
So, tl;dr, better than RRF but doesn't appeal to me at all.

Haha.. yeah and Sturm und Drang have started to make disco pop rock too, like every other metal band have.

Oh, Bb. My bad I guess that I have just used to play those low notes on my 7-string. That´s why low tunings on a six string like drop B feel so alien to me.
I guess. It's just the range that differs. A 7-string is great for that wide range.

Oh, the question. Yeah. Well, someone who doesn't need to squeal the highest notes. They rarely even sound THAT good. Arch enemy, for example, plays in C standard and so does Wintersun these days but when they drop the tuning they just drop the 6th string a whole step lower to Bb. I don't see that as a problem. The soundworld is amazingly emotional when you use it right in that kind of music.
Maybe it's the Bb minor.

Yeah, but who the hell tunes a six string to A# ? (unless if it´s a baritone, not sure about Jari´s guitar)

Of course I know how harmonies are constructed! What do you think I have done, just sitting on my arse, learning nothing? It´s been a while since I put my originals here (just listened to those old ones, horrible stuff :haha and I´m waaaaayyyyy better than back then. The hard part learning those harmonies is that they´re quite fast sweep/alternate picked thingies, not some nice melodies with double guitars. I hope you got what I meant, I seriously need a vacation.
Actually drop B-flat. But enharmonically the same. Jari's guitar is 25.5".

No that's not what it was about, I just didn't quite catch your point :haha: Well that's good then!

Good thing I didn't buy that head for myself then, I had the chance to, actually for both the new 100W and the older 60W. Great cleans are fundamental to me with just a flick of a footswitch. I can get great cleans with my amp just because the both channels are pretty much totally individual, even in master volume. Oh, yes, the effects loop is also different for them if I wanted to do that, but I run my effects in front. When I get a delay, I'll dedicate that just for cleans. So basically, it'll be on all the time and won't affect my distortion tone at all. I use the neck pickup at times for even fuller, warmer and stronger clean sounds, but mostly my bridge pickup is enough.

Yeah, use it like Loomis uses the low B, but not as much. I think his solo album "Zero Order Phase" is much better than the new one. Somehow it appeals to me more.

I don't need any low B or A... or anything like that. Well, maybe for bass it'd be useful, but D standard is low enough for me. It sounds heavy and you still retain the classic sound of a guitar without ruining your compositions with "catchy" rhythms. To me, those catchy rhythms like what Meshuggah write, are too much math. Sure they're creative, but come on... Something bit more natural for me, please.

I was actually surprised myself that I was able to write songs... The other one we're practicing is written pretty much by me and the other is written by Aimo. Though they wouldn't make great on album as like 4th and 5th song, they surely are on the same theme.

You know what is the saddest part? His father went crazy and attacked him(His father was very drunk) and my friend called the police and went to his friend´s place. The police didn´t take the father to the police station. Instead they left him alone in his house and he probably SET it on fire. So I don´t know if any kind of insurance helps here... The world is a fucked up place.

What is this? If it was set on fire... that guy's a criminal.
