How many of you are in a band?
I'm sure that by now people have come to you and asked: "What are your band's musical influences?"
I began to wonder if a band must always be influenced by another...and my thoughts were;
HELL NO!!
It wasn't untill I started playing in a band that I realised the musical creation process isn't confined to a musical genre but to the emotions and feelings of the person creating it. I know the whole "feelings" thing sounds like "Soap-Opera crap" but it's a true fact. So you don't always create a sound or write lyrics that sound like the music you hear.
From now on I leave the labelling to the Music Recording Companies and the Media.
I sound the way I want to and you don't like it unless you don't want to.
I kinda agree with you. It's like, music flows from the heart (smthing like this). you can't control it, unless you take a day to work with scales and use maths to compose a music, but that sukz...
My music doesn't sound like anybody... mainly because I'm crap lol... (sob)
Nah, I'm not that bad, and I agree with Guitar Newbie, it's just a matter of feelings. Thing is, I'm too cathartic: once I've written something, it just becomes a cliche to me.
