Try to pull off at a different angle... If you pull off slightly more vertically, you don't have to pull away as far for the string to let go. Experiment, find the pull-off angle that works, and practice, practice, practice!

Also, for pull-offs with your pinky, it could help if you rotate your wrist as well as using the strength in your pinky...
