My name is Dan. I've "played" guitar for a total of 10 years, but my playing does NOT reflect it. Up until about 2 years ago, I did not take playing seriously, and rarely practiced. I have since restarted lessons as of January 6, 2011. In all reality, I probably have the experience of someone who has been playing for about 6 months to a year.
Given my love for music, especially Heavy Metal, I had decided around September 2009 that I wanted to record a record, even if it were just for fun. I probably started to write music around October 2009, and what I came up with, I wasn't happy with. While I still have plans for some of the earlier music I wrote, most of it will go unheard.
The latest of my music can be found here. I'm in the habit of posting songs that are still in experimental stages, just so I can gauge public opinion. We've all been to that "plateau" where we've written something and feel like it's a Top 10 hit, when in reality, Justin Bieber would even comment, "Gee, even my stuff is better than this!"
So, on that note, if you listen to one of my songs, PLEASE leave a comment with some feedback and/or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, good or bad. "This song sucks," simply isn't CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. That wouldn't tell me ANYTHING.
