Well, guitar shielding helps a lot, in almost all cases. Ground loops in power supply routing don't help, either, though.
However, shielding is a lot cheaper, IMO, than buying all new stuff to power your pedals with isolated power sources (like with a good power brick).

Do you know anything about noise gate things? I'm thinking about getting the ISP Decimator but i'm not sure if it's worth the money.
I always advise looking into shielding your guitar first. Doesn't affect your tone in any way, and seriously cuts down on hum.

How's that Alvarez? I want a new acoustic...Need to find an affordable one I like, and retrofit it with a B Band system...

oh okay. i think i'll pass on getting one of those acoustic-electric ones. The piezo pickups in them never sound real to me. i'll get a nice acoustic I like the feel of, and then install an under the saddle pickup in it.

Whaddya mean? Audacity can encode it to MP3. You just need to right codec.

oh yeah, and I used audacity, too. The EQ tool in there was REALLY handy in making the cymbals less harsh.

ah, get on those clips, mang!

well, those clips were recorded with a super shitty computer mic. Read the info about the recording situation by clicking on All MP3's, and check out the descriptions.

Whaddya think of them? Very rough instrumental demos we recorded to find a singer..
