This is the first song I've written in a long time and the first one I've posted on UG.
Your thoughts appreciated, as it stands its a pretty simple format, but that could all change once the music is written.
Happy to give feedback to those writers kind enough to review.
Thank you
Your Story (title not finalized!)
Verse 1 There's a clock that lies Telling you that You've got time But I think you'll find they're not the kind to wait
Verse 2 Still the stories grow saying what the neighbours know No matter where you go they'll show upon your face
pre-chorus And another moment falls, to reach what's gone Regrets dont feel small, you've got to carry on
Chorus every cloud, in the sky Is a story that isnt a lie they come, they go You shouldn't pass them by
For you'll see, yourself your horizon, no-one else Your story means, matters most, or so it seems. Verse 3 its not what they believe seeing what they want to see anything for mystery they'll be the last to know
Verse 4 They may seem so loud using it to keep you down you can turn it all around The grounds to warm to hate
pre-chorus And another moment falls, to reach what's gone Regrets dont feel small, you've got to carry on
Chorus every cloud, in the sky Is a story that isnt a lie they come, they go You shouldn't pass them by
For you'll see, yourself your horizon, no-one else Your story means, matters most, or so it seems.
