I could make this all fancy and professional sounding, by speaking of myself from the third person perspective. Something like this: Freya Thornborrow started singing from a very early age and bla bla bla, etc. etc. I'm not going to do that though, it seems wrong. Not that there is anything wrong with it really, but if I can avoid being the next Chris Keller I most certainly will. Sorry, One Tree Hill reference. This probably isn't making me sound very interesting, woops. Anyway, I'm Freya. I sing. Imagine if that was all I wrote. Okay, so yes I've been singing from a very early age, we got that part. I started writing lyrics when I hit the teenage stage of my life, it was my way of dealing with all the problems that seem so very huge as a teenager. I picked up an acoustic guitar one day and threw together four chords, which sounded awful, but what does it matter? From then on I made up random combination's of the simplest chords and put my lyrics to them. My guitar playing never really did improve (the demo guitarist is not me), but I enjoy it and that's what's most important to me. I've recently started playing bass too, which I absolutely love! My new goal for the summer is to save up for that perfect Fender acoustic and start writing new music, before people give up all hope after hearing my two demo songs a few too many times. I apologize for those of you seeking to read an uptight artist bio, it's just not for me. I try to not take myself too seriously, laughing at yourself when you do something silly is a lot better than crying over it. Don't get me wrong, I do take music seriously, I'm dedicated, and it's a huge important part of who I am. But I want people to see the real me too, not just some girl who strums a guitar and sings some sad break-up song. For those who are still reading and haven't ran hiding, drop me a message.
