Yeah, so I did my taxes . . . . by the end of next week, I'll have my return in the bank. I don't want to be overly specific, but let's just say that its the equivalent of a couple months' pay.
Being in need of a more "solid" recording setup, I've decided that I'm going to buy a Mac mini. Why, you might ask? Pretty simple, actually: it comes pre-loaded with GarageBand and iMovie. Principally, it's for GarageBand, since I want to do some serious hobby-level recording. My current recording platform is just not up to par, as anyone who has worked with it can attest.
Two things that sold me most are the new guitar models (which include Marhsall, Vox, and Fender) and the Magic GarageBand. Using these elements, along with multitrack & multitake recording in conjunction with "software instruments" (y'know, MIDI) will allow me to do just about anything I want to.
So I can finally get around to writing and recording that country album I've got running laps in the back of my mind.
Fist off man, you spelled Marshall wrong and I was gonna give you 2 kudos but then you said you were gonna record a country album and i said "Hey, your gonna have to settle with one..."
