Well, I'm in the unusual position of having recordings of my playing through the last 4 years. I can trace my playing, styles, etc, through practically my entire playing history. I thought it might be cool for people to see how my playing has changed over the years, and to show people that I was not born with chops or knowing theory, and by extension that anyone can do anything I do. I just wish Allan Holdsworth or someone else of that kind of stature had been recorded every week from the day they picked up the instrument, and then we'd really be going places!
