parhelia_0000 wrote on Mar 10th, 2012 4:14amHey, thanks a lot for all the help you gave me on the forum post! I'll just stick to my usual guitar frets, then.
As a special request, can I please add you as a friend so that I can ask you for more help if I need it?
Once again, thanks very much! quote |

Fisheth24 wrote on Jul 18th, 2011 10:41pmHey man, seeing as you seem to be the only Dean player on these forums. I'll ask you, Dean V79 Blueburst. Is it worth getting? quote |
IRISH_PUNK13 wrote on Nov 9th, 2010 1:46amNo, I didn't say that. In dropped tunings the thicker strings will have more tension to where they don't feel floppy and really loose. If you compare the string tension between 9's and 11's in STANDARD TUNING you'll find the 9's play a lot easier and aren't as hard to fret or bend. However the 9's in DROPPED TUNING (D Standard, Drop C, etc) will feel loose and the 11's feel better due to their increased string tension.
Anything larger than 10's in STANDARD TUNING is overkill unless you're playing slide guitar or something to that effect. And I stand by my original statement.

Wrong. I find it quite hard to play with anything less than 12s in standard.
It's all down to personal preference. Your opinion isn't fact, so please stop going around acting like it is.
