hey, thanks for the rate.. how come no one told me that I left it in mono and not stereo? For a while, I've been listening through my laptop speakers [I know, I know] and I could barely hear the channels xD

Good question. It's a mix of thrash, power, melo-death and my voice may feature some Layne-ness, but it'll be epic :)
We'll see how things go.

Sounds pretty cool. I like Thy Flesh.

And I'm doing well. Working on starting a metal band soon :)

Cool. You need a better camera though haha
I'm still waiting for Bite The Pain :P

Ha a little. Pure coincidence imo, but if there's a rip-off on the album, it's Check My Brain compared to Pantera's "10" on Southern Trendkill. The main riff is the same except for a note or 2.

Yea dude, listen to Last Of My Kind. If you don't like it, the album will disappoint you.

Unbanned? What have you been doing? lol
Cool song. The intro riff sounds like some old Soundgarden riff. Pretty cool.

Yea. I think I'll leave shredding attempts until my rhythm and picking technique are much better. Right now I'm learning the Holy Wars intro and I'm planning on learning all of Raining Blood [I already know the intro, as most thrash fans do].

College is starting, so I hope I'll have enough time between band practice, lectures and guitar.
Anyways, good talking to you, man.

haha I'm no shredder at all, but then again I haven't tried yet.
As a guitarist in general, I feel better towards my soloing and rhythm keeping.
I'm in love with D-Standard [and Drop D for fun :P: ] tuning at the moment. Sadly I can't keep my guitar in D lol

What bout you?

Well i haven't heard your soloing but i think you should work on it if you think it's necessary, start by learning some easy stuff from your favourite artists to keep the motivation up, no one actually has the will to just learn scales or boring scales, create your own patterns or play something you like.

Good tips. Thanks again, man.

Well you don't have to take your influence from new rock songs, try making a melodic riff and play melodic solo to it, it will sound good as long as your being creative and using the right scales (or use the golden ear if you have one )

But that's just it...I'm absolute ass at soloing... And I hate new rock. It's all the same to me. But anyway, I guess I need to work on my soloing, eh? :p

I don't know what is trying to get accomplished with this song, getting quiet noises from your guitar and name it surreality, doesn't really give the right mood. I wanted to hear some different type of things on the song. This just like an intro to something, i think it's not a full song.

I wanted to evoke thought. I wanted it to start a thought reaction in the listener. I can't really put it to words.

Sure it's "quiet noises", but listen to pretty much any new rock song and about all you'll hear is a melody made of 2-string power chords with a solo that's just an uncreative variant of the main melody.

Thanks for the comments though.

BTW, I think you should cover Bite the Pain by DEATH next. It's a cool song.

Not trying to rule, but I have many MANY ideas that don't work out through singing. That's one reason I picked up the guitar.
Yes I do understand the attitude part because sometimes I play in a lazy way :P But on the recording, I was half-headbanging lol
As for palm-muting, the first riff was played twice while PMed and the first measure of the second riff is PMed.
8-4-8. I'm scooping the mids too. I got it bout Bass:7 Mids: 4.5ish Treble: 8.5
Right now, I'm getting the best sound I can get out of the amp without pedals :(

Thanks for the review :D

What a silly question. Of course they float.

We all float down here.
