First of all, I'm Darren. I have two very different sides to myself, one that is easy-going, laid-back, and sarcastic, the other being a stubborn, opinionated asshole who isn't afraid of a fight, whether verbal or physical (woo! run-on sentence!). Most of the time I'm my former self, trying to keep an open mind.
About guitar: I've been playing for 7 years. I have this thing for finding the right tones. I'm very much into boutique pedals and amps and have started a nifty (but small) collection in my opinion. I play a lot of blues and classic rock, but enjoy playing metal as well.
About music: I play several other instruments including the clarinet, saxophone, and piano. I have dabbled in playing various brass instruments, but always stuck with strings and woodwinds. I also use my voice box to make a noise called singing. I was bass section leader in high school chorus, but I havn't practiced enough since then to keep my range.
About life: I am a manager at a movie theatre. This has kind of turned me into a movie buff. I started my DVD collection 2.5 years ago when I started the theatre and now have WAY (around 350) too many DVD's. I estimate that I've seen about 6,000 movies in my short lifetime (gotta love Netflix...)
