im such an idiot sometimes but this is unreal. i really want me amp back!! and id just learned sex on fire and it doesnt sound any good with no amp!! thats the worst thing about bass - no amp - no good *cries*
so i bought some new strings the other day but i didnt really know how to put them on. i didnt want to bring my bass into a music store cuz that is just lame so i took a chance and decided to take a string off my bass...which was a great idea cuz it allowed me to find out how the string was put on! it was so easy that i couldnt believe that i was worried about not being able to change the strings at all
so, for any first time string changers out there that happen to read this heres some advice: dont take your guitar to someone else to change the strings just take the string off, that way you'll know how to put a new string on!

"why dont girls play guitar?" this was the topic of a tv discussion show and i was outraged to have to listen to some guy ring up and say that the reason girls dont play guitar is because they want nice hands!!!
like, OMFG, what sort of world does he think he is living in?!! he said that girls dont like to cut the nails on their hands and i felt like ringing up and saying that NOT ALL GIRLS ARE LIKE THAT!!! i mean, im a nail biter so the only thing that kept me from playing bass ages ago was that i couldnt afford to buy a bass. i was not concerned about my hands!
however, i must admit that some girls are like that (my friend used to complain about it) but this guy made the assumption that ALL girls were like that!
well, thats all i have to say on THAT topic, what do you all think about it?
i was walking down the street to go to the library and this girl comes up to me and she is so totally drunk (this is at 8 50am!!!) and asks me to walk down the street to the winemark with her this is because there were a couple of guys (that i knew but they dont know me hehehe!) that were calling nasty things to her cuz she was in shorts from being at a club last night
so i agree and while i am walking with her she keeps telling me the shes not a slut and the reason shes wearing shots at this ungodly hour of the morning
i tell her not to listen to what people says and she tells me im such a nice person
then she goes on about her tattoes and her boyfriend,that i assumed she lost last night
we then get to the winemark and she cant find the wine!! she does eventually find it and when she goes to the counter she looks through her bag for money and grabs a fiver but she holds onto it and continues to look for something(i think it was her id cuz she looked about 15 when she was 19)
the woman at the counter tells her she has enough money in her hand and takes it from her. the girl then starts asking if the women knew who all these peope were but then gets distracted
i laugh and tell the women i just met this girl down the street; she also finds this funny
the girl then asks me to get her a bottle of red WKD but can only find a 20 pound note to pay for it and the women does not have enough change to give her cuz its now about 8 55am. she continues to go through her bag while asking if i wanted anything. i say no of course cuz its not even 9 in the morning, plus i dont drink; she found this fact quite shocking
she eventually finds enough change, hands it over and tells the women that she is not a slut and that shes going to drink her WKD with her breakfast when she gets to her boyfriends house.
we eventually leave, i ask her if she wants me to walk her home, she says no and then gives me a hug and thanks me for being nice to her. i smile and say no problem but inside im thinking "why did this happen to me?!" but it was still funny

glad to have lots of friends on UG so soon after i set this profile up, will not be online for a while cuz i dont have a home computer but i dont care for that and i would like it if everyone would post some comments over xmas as it will give me something to look forward to when i go back to college
