thefitz wrote on Oct 7th, 2008 4:14amWell, everybody's own experience shapes their view of things, but I'm more speaking of when people take alcohol themselves. They know how it's going to end up. It's no mystery to nobody. quote |
thefitz wrote on Oct 5th, 2008 5:46amLooks like YOU missed a point - that's what I'm saying the whole time. I'm not arguing with the fact that pot makes you lazy and alcohol fucks you up. I'm saying that we all know the effects of alcohol and that you DO know that if you drink too much, you're running the risk of doing something you regret - and I made that so bloody clear in my blog it's pathetic. Alcohol has a consequence that's very consistant and predictable. And it's always negative. The whole positivity of pot is what makes me fucking sick, and it's what my blog was about. Drinkers say "yeah, I know" when you talk about the bad points of drinking, while pot smokers go "HEY! FUCK YOU!" when you talk about the bad points of smoking... JUST LIKE YOU DID ! quote |

While I do understand that acoustics are the way they are for the tone, I do have a counter arguement: since electric instruments are "consistant" in their tone, I think the archetypal shape (i.e. Fender shape) has to do with the instruments BALANCE and PLAYABILITY. I can't think of one hugely different shape (that, most importantly, is POPULAR) that balances and plays well.
Oh, and EHX is coming out with a bass version of The Big Muff. I win! There's a thread about it, and apparently I'm responsable for it! Anyway, bi-amping systems is a different story, since you'd be sending guitar frequencies through a guitar pedal to a guitar amp. quote |
Fenderguy2112 wrote on Dec 1st, 2007 3:05amSo What did I do, you ask? I whistled for a cab, and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and there were dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "naw forget it, yo home to bel-air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie "yo homes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air. quote |
