I'm an old school Metal Head, been around the block a time or two been playing guitar for the better part of 30 years now, had to sell off all of my gear some years back to pay rent and had to take a break for awhile (sucks being a grown up), but I have been acquiring gear now for about the last 4 years or so.
I currently have 12 fully intact playable guitars most of them are pretty decent (see my gear pics) all of them spoiled and live in nice plush hardshell cases, and couple that are in various stages of being rebuilt. I play mostly metal of my own creation but can still throw down on some Sabbath, old school thrash etc. and on ocaision you might catch me playing some rockabilly or surf, I am primarily a rhythm player but I play lead as well.
I like to upgrade my guitars with pickups, potentiometers, jacks ,switches etc. I am a firm believer that mid grade guitar can be a beast with the right upgrades. I like to upgrade my Floyd trems also, with stainless steel screws, titanium saddle blocks, big brass sustain blocks noiseless springs and so forth.
I have 4 amplifiers: a MESA Roadster Dual Rectifier 2X12 combo equipped with Celestian Vintage 30's, a Peavey 6505+ 120watt head and a 4X12 cabinet loaded with Eminence Swamp Thang and Texas Heat's, a Randall RG75 with a vintage RCF Italian loudspeaker that is bad to the bone. I also own a Crate 1RD it is the original Crate amp that looks like a wooden crate, does it rock? No it does not, but it is exactly like the first amp I had when I was 15, I bought it just because it takes me back! You can find it photobombing in some of my gear pics.
I have a couple of buddies that I jam with from time to time but I mostly just rock out in my jam room at home and piss off my wife and neighbors! I review guitars and gear and post blogs so check them if you get bored!
