I'm 18 years old and I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Engineering. I've just received my results for all my exams and I passed them all, including calculus. Now I feel pretty good about semester two
I'm very interested in guitars, not only in playing them but also in all of the mechanical aspects too. My first build is going to start at the end of 2008, so I'm spending all of my spare time learning about the guitar.
Other interests of mine that lie outside of the musical department are racing, I race a gokart with a 125cc Rotax Max; and scuba diving, I am a PADI advanced open water diver (although it has been almost a year since I have dived and I need a refresher on diving skills).
I have a part time job at McDonald's which is depressing at best, but the friends I have there are great! Because of the minimum wage I receive and the time constraints of university I can't fund my guitar passion as well as I'd like, but I recently purchased an Ibanez ARC300 for a very good price. My long term goal is a Mesa Single Rectifier amp, finished in tan, at the local Rockshop.
My most special experience this year was my personal moment I had with Chris Shifflet at the Foo Fighters concert I recently attended (I gave him a thumbs up, he sent one back. It was his birthday that day too). I managed to get a spot right up the front against the rail - I got 4 guitar picks from that concert and some really good photos on my phone, unfortunately the one I got of Taylor Hawkins turned corrupt. Pat Smear was there too, and Dave Grohl tripped over.

I've just purchased a Pearl drum kit for $150. all it needs is new skins for every drum and I'm all set. my mates going to do all the tuning etc. for me, so in total inc. cost of skins its a $340 drum kit
