Life, Lost and Found. Part 3

What does it mean to be ignorant?

What we think and believe to be real, is what is real to us. For instance, a person stands in front of me. I think and believe that the person is standing in front of me, the nerves and the senses through my eyes and my brain tell me that the person is there, and I choose to believe those impulses sent. Therefore, that person is real to me. But if I did not?

If I chose to not see the person, if I choose not to look at a beggar, or I simply do not notice a person, then, it is such that that person is not real to me. And I am ignorant of their physical being.

Everyone lives in their own universe, together creating a multiverse. At times, what we believe and think to be real may cause an intersection of our own personal universes. And at other times, we are ignorant to the realities which others hold. In Essence, each person has his or her own reality, has their beliefs, disbeliefs, ignorance, and perception. Whether they co-inside with the reality of others is a personal issue.

Ignorance is bliss, as the saying goes. Bus is it truly so?

Many people keep to their own personal lives and remain ignorant to what is happening around them. Whether this be war, murder or poverty, it may be anything. Ignorant to the war against you, the human being. Ignorant to the amount of control which is exercised over you. Through government, war, media and all other influences. Does one not believe that one’s life has value?

And one still remains ignorant, ignorant to the government killing it’s own people for a useless cause, ignorant to all that wills to control you, ignorant to the fact that YOU ARE controlled.

“The enlightened ones” some may call them… “Superhumans” others may label them.. And such many were, but I would not divide. Out of personal moral and decency if not anything else. All humanity has the capability to become gods, only some reach it, but in essence, whether ignorant or not, all have their own reality, and sometimes the only connection one reality may have with another is the material human being.

We all go through different experiences at different times, and through those we create thoughts of what life means to us. Those thoughts however are not directly linked, which is why man has to live to fill the holes. This is the main reason, why would should not be ignorant. If one wills to create a meaning for one’s life, then ignorance is one of the worst traits one can have…

The question is personal and depending on time, as at different times, our views and mindsets grow, creating our own definitions and meanings in separate segments. An ignorant person, is exactly the same as all, we are all ignorant in some way, because man cannot be omniscient.

But one should strive against it. One should strive towards realism, the doubt and critiquing of all, the knowledge of having a positive and a negative outcome, and the ability to perceive both, and prepare to react against both. One should strive towards being real, being above, and being yourself.

You just have to ask yourself.
