Hello!

It's time for "Top UG Reviews" today! This week was lavish with events. But let's one after another....

Here is a list of the most remarkable reviews of this week.

1. Down: Down III: Over The Under [ CD by Unregistered ]

2. Stars: In Our Bedroom After The War [ CD by Something_Vague ]

3. Symphony X: Canada (Toronto), July 18, 2007 [Live Concert by Contraband ]

4. Dimmu Borgir: In Sorte Diaboli [ CD by Contraband ]

Yeeaah!! Contraband, you are a hero of the week! Thanks, man. And welcome back. I hope that's not your last submittions ;)

And a Worst Review of the week is below:

Foo Fighters: Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace [ CD by Unregistered ]

Sound. //8
Wow, this album is amazing. Some of the songs realy seem to connect with the sound of their past albums, but this ablum is moving in such a new direction that it is hard to describe.

Lyrics. //9
Dave's lyrics contine to get better and better. Every line fits so perfectly with it's placement in the song that it is amazing.

Overall Impression. //9
It takes guts to put a mellow piano balled on a Rock album. Obviously these guys just love playing music more than what people think of their music. I will admit that a was slightly disappointed by In Your Honor, but this album exceeds all expectations. Definately some of their best songs yet.

I really don't understand for what this guy has sent this crap. There's no any even solid and cleared-up thought...

Ok, now here's a good news -- finally there is a new tab approver on board, Foxxx! This was his first week; he's just learning and is working under my heedful direction. But remember -- I am still responsible for tabs, so send your "fuck you," "you're asshole" and "suck my dick" to my inbox. :D

Oh, almost forgot... Today I've got a PM form magnific0. He asks me, why I've banned his _magnific0_ account. For those who don't know -- multiple account is a reason to be banned or even banned forever! So keep this in your minds. But back to magnific0. This bastard has created almost TEN different accounts to submit one and the same tab under different artists and song titles and to vote for these tabs in our pre-approval system! For what? I believe to increase his UG Scores. How stupid. Don't do the same, my friends, otherwise I'll kill you!

Well, I think that's all. Thanks for your attention. Rock on!

Hey! lol, thanks for putting that up there, but Toronto=Ontario=Canada, not the USA. :p Definitely not my last submissions. Plenty more to submit when I can think properly. It must have been 3 pm when I did those.

I've only been contributing once every 2-3 days recently, I feel like im slacking off.

Anyway, I don't think banned members should get access to the tab approval system... because they still can. Or maybe increase the number of tabs to get it. Three is... not a wise choice. I was thinking around 40 - 50.

/me being banned for double posting :(

Another thing, I go in there everyday and help weed out the "FUCK YOUUUUUUUU" and the "gggggggfffffffgggggggeuuuuuuuusjjjjjj"'s and it's getting to be a huge problem because some of them are even getting through!. I look at every single tab I can to check for even-ness, duplicates and most of the time accuracy and if this particular tablature is better then the one in the archive. I was wondering if there is any way to make this more efficient? Thanks.

Almost agree with you. Yes, I'm sure we'll take away that access from banned users. But IMHO to increase amount os submitted tabs is not effective remedy, 'cause there will be just a couple of voters per day instead of quite a few people now days. And that system simply won't work.

But, It'd definatly fix people like "_magnific0_" and people that go in there, Reject the bands they hate and accept the bands they like and be done with it. Because I've seen horribly uneven and inaccurate tablatures with 3-4 votes to accept it. But Yeah, or just an email attached with the reasons those people typed with the email that is sent when your tab was rejected, That way if someone posted "No this band is so gay, stop thisssssssss" or "uereufhuebubwiubcuib fuckr9diuhfiudbf" then report it in the forum. Or even a comment window in the approval Que so that whatever they say is recorded so other users can address it in a proper manner.

=\ meh

I understand you, but hardly we could avoid every peace of that crap. I think we could suspend some people from tab pre-approve in the following cases (just my thoughts, not a reality):

- we collect all the "this band is so gay" and "FUCK YOUUUUUUUU" that users send us for consideration and we ban the bastards who send such rejection comments if they have 2 or more claims from honest tabbers.

- fake tabs and all the relative

then.....

- we make a new specific type of ban and banned users can't do anything with tabs (or a bigger part of actions with tabs).

- probably we will hire a team of pre-approvers from the number of our most outstanding tabbers to make pre-approve system more objective -- but that's just my dream :))
